Tour Itinerary & Highlights

Note: These are suggested itineraries – we can customize based on your preferences.

  • Greenwich Beginnings: Start in Greenwich Village at Our Lady of Pompeii Church and see the square named after its first pastor before a stop at Café Reggio where cappuccino was introduced to the US.
  • Legacy Landmarks & Artistic Avenues: Stroll past birthplaces and monuments of influential Italians, including Mayor La Guardia, explore what was once a hub for garment workers and take in the artistry of Giuseppe Moretti’s sculptures.
  • Foodie Fare: Check out Joe & Pat’s Pizzeria, Veniero’s Pasticceria and Russo’s Deli where they make their mozzarella in the basement!

Option #1

  • Italian Harlem: Head to Italian Harlem where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at historic Patsy’s Pizzeria – one of the few places in NYC to serve coal oven baked pizza. 
  • Classic Conclusion: Afterwards, you’ll see Rao’s – which was opened in 1896 and is known for being NYC’s hardest spot to get a table and take in the architectural beauty of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

  • Brooklyn’s Italian Legacy: Head to Williamsburg to discover storied spots like Bamonte’s Restaurant – a former mob hangout, Emily’s Pork Store and the vibrant “dancing of the Giglio” at the Giglio Boys Club.
  • Food, Fatih and Film: Enjoy lunch at Ferdinando’s Focacceria – an old-school Sicilian sandwich shop, see the Church of the Sacred Hearts of Mary and Jesus and St. Stephen and end with a stop at sweet shop Pasticceria Monteleone – made famous in Moonstruck.
