Bio:
With 45 years in tourism, (even though he studied law and accounting in college!) most of those years promoting New York City, Joel’s positions in the industry have certainly run the gamut. He started as a travel agent back in the day, then founded two tour companies and eventually became our fearless leader here at Beyond Times Square until he <finally> decided to retire. And lucky for us – retirement didn’t mean the end of Joel and his endless dad jokes – as he is currently still with the BTSQ as a consultant.
Favorite Beyond Times Square Experience:
When asked this question Joel did not hesitate with his answer! Spending many awesome New Year’s Eve(s) in Times Square at our very own Ball Drop Galas with old friends and new ones is his favorite experience that Beyond Times Square offers hands down. The atmosphere, the décor, the views and so much more always make them the event of the season and one that should not be missed.
Favorite Thing About Being a Part of the Beyond Times Square Team:
“Getting together with everyone in New York City – since we’re all remote, and we do see each other every day on the screen, there’s nothing like meeting in person. As much as we respect each other’s professionalism and work ethic, it’s the hugs and the laughter that makes us all realize we are truly a big, happy family.”
