Personal Travel Interests: I love cities, different cultures, the local rhythms, art, architecture and taking tours to learn more about the place. But I also love to relax by the sea, filling the senses with the local shade of the water, feet in the sand. And, anywhere I go, I love to try the local flavors and music, talking to the people, walking around and using public transportation.
Favorite Experiences in NYC: Walking in Central Park. Harlem gospel mass combined with sightseeing in a vehicle of this amazing part of town. Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge to DUMBO, riding the Carousel and eating in the Time-Out Market. A leisurely afternoon experience in mild weather is to take the tram to Roosevelt Island, sharing my favorite parts of the island by local free bus and walking, then taking the ferry to Wall Street Pier, seeing the street at a quiet time, walking to the 9/11 Memorial then to the World Financial Center for a meal before heading back to the hotel.
What I Like The Most About NYC: I love the open exchanges we have with total strangers, the kindness of my fellow New Yorkers and the freedom the city affords all to be who we are and how much it broadens the horizons of anyone who embraces it.
