We’ve combined two modes of transportation for an active day exploring DC & Mount Vernon. Feel the thrill of cycling by iconic landmarks as you pedal along the capital’s beautiful bike paths with an expert guide. Wander the picturesque grounds of Washington’s historic plantation the VIP way – including areas not usually accessible. Then cruise back to quaint Georgetown via speedboat while taking in amazing views and insightful commentary. Join us for this bike and boat adventure of a lifetime!
Tour Itinerary & Highlights

- On Your Mark: Your journey begins when your guide arrives at your hotel with your first mode of transportation for the day – your bicycle.
- Get Set: Your guide provides all the essentials for your DC bike tour – a helmet, bottled water and snacks. After a quick safety briefing and seat adjustment, you’re all set.
- Go: Time to start your 17-mile ride which takes about three hours. You’ll pedal past landmarks like the White House and the Washington Monument. as you make your way to the bike path leading to Historic Alexandria, where you’ll take a break at a cozy coffee shop and bakery.
- US History 101: After the pitstop its on to George Washington’s Mount Vernon, where a historian awaits, offering exclusive access to the mansion and gardens.
- Let’s Eat: Enjoy lunch at the casual Food Court Pavilion or the Mount Vernon Inn – both of which are tasty options as you bask in the charm of the era.
- Bon Voyage: After lunch, your speedboat adventure will begin at the Mount Vernon fishing pier. Led by a US Coast Guard licensed captain (and expert guide!) you’ll see the Pentagon, Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials and more.
- Ship To Shore: Your cruise ends at Georgetown’s waterfront where you can enjoy dinner in one of Georgetown’s restaurants or reserve our luxury transfer to the location of choice.

- The duration of the tour is approximately eight (8) hours.
- This tour is seasonal and operates from April through early November, seven (7) days a week.
- Important Information for guests traveling with young children: Adults and teens can enjoy riding appropriately sized bicycles while smaller children can either ride kids’ bikes or be chauffeured safely by our guide in his custom family bike and/or tag-along.
- You can customize the starting location of the tour to fit your schedule.
- All stops, timing and inclusions of the tour are dependent on traffic and weather conditions.
