Favorite Experience in NYC: My life as a New York City tour guide is literally a series of wonderful and favorite experiences. Being able to walk people over the Brooklyn Bridge, share a coal-oven slice with them in Brooklyn Heights, ascending with them to one of our five amazing observation decks, walks over to the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park showing off the Angel of Waters, driving over the McCombs Dan Bridge to point out the Yankee Stadium to baseball fans, eating incredible meals with people in one of our amazing 20,000 restaurants. and explaining to people the new group of buildings surrounding the memorials at the World Trade Center site, showing people Federal Hall and the New York Stock Exchange, taking the ferry with people to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island – to me it’s all wonderful.
Getting Personal: I love New York City and have lived here for 25 years. I have lived in 11 different neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx and I love all of them for different reasons. I love the fact that we have the most diverse population of any city on earth. I love how the subway is usually faster and cheaper than the automobile. I love never having owned a car. I love walking around finding new places to have a cocktail or a bite to eat and being pleasantly surprised at the deliciousness of most of the food that I eat. I love being able to travel to places like Greece and Columbia and then return back to Queens to find amazing Greek and Colombian (and Brazilian, Indian, Korean, Chinese, Mexican, etc.) food
