Long Island is very much known for its beautiful beaches, quaint villages, and celeb residents. However, what many people may not know is that Long Island is a true Mecca for wine lovers! In the region there are over 60 wineries producing gorgeous local wines making a name for themselves not only in New York but around the country! One of the best parts are that these wineries are located is somewhat good a proximity to New York City giving you a great chance to enjoy a luxury day excursion to Long Island with a private wine expert/guide
You will depart from Manhattan in the morning with your guide and be transferred in a luxury vehicle to Long Island. Vehicle may be a SUV or sprinter depending on your party size. On the way your guide will give you a tour as you pass famous landmarks. You will explore some of the amazing scenery Long Island has to offer and other area of interest.
You will stop and get exclusive access to some of the region’s top wineries. You will tour the vineyards and part take in tastings. You will sample up to 5 wine at each tasting 1.5oz samples. Your guide who is also an enthusiastic wine expert will give you the ins and outs about the various wines. At one of the wineries you will enjoy a light lunch catered with locally sourced produce. Additional snack will also be offered at the tastings. Guests will get the opportunity to purchase wine bottles at each winery visited.
If times allows you may on the way back, make a stop at a local Farmers Market were guests can purchase freshly produced fruit and vegetables should they wish.
