- Let’s Get This Tasty Tour Started: Your adventure begins at the renowned Venchi where you’ll meet your expert guide – a well-respected culinary historian, cookbook author and culinary educator with a specialty in fine chocolate and other artisanal foods. What a fabulous opportunity to immerse yourself in her wealth of knowledge as you discover the fascinating history of ice cream!
- History With A “Twist:” But wait – it’s not only the history of ice cream you’ll be enlightened on. You’ll also hear some of the history surrounding the vibrant neighborhoods that your journey takes you through, including eclectic Union Square, historical Flatiron, trendy East Village and chic Nolita.
- Sweet Indulgences Await At Each Stop: Here’s the “scoop” on where exactly you’ll be indulging:
- Venchi ChocoGelateria – Chocolate lovers, you have found your heaven on earth here! Known for their focus on both high-quality chocolate and artisanal gelato, the combination of these two indulgent treats creates a unique and delightful experience for your taste buds!
- Amorino – Prepare to be astounded by this artisan gelateria known for its exquisite gelato creations – shaped into roses and made from carefully sourced ingredients free of preservatives, artificial flavors and flavor enhancers.
- Davey’s Ice Cream – You’ll love this cozy East Village favorite where you’ll have your pick of fabulous flavors created from seasonal ingredients they source as they become available throughout the year. Plus they formulate & pasteurize their own bases in-house to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Gelateria Gentile – Discover the art of homemade gelato that has been handed down for generations, making this gem known for its authentic and traditional approach to gelato-making, rooted in the heritage of Italian gelato craftsmanship.
- Pit Stop For Pizza: And it’s not all frozen treats because we’ve added a stop for a slice of that infamous New York-style pizza! That’s right – you’ll have an opportunity to take a break from the sweetness as you enjoy a savory snack at Prince Street Pizza, adding a delightful contrast to our dessert adventure.

- The ideal seasons for this tour are spring and fall due to comfortable temperatures for walking and being outdoors.
- Restrictions may apply depending on the date and time of the tour.
- The starting location of the tour is at Venchi, located at 861 Broadway (near Union Square).
- Pick-up or drop-off locations outside of Manhattan may accrue additional time & cost.
This walking/food tour can accommodate up to eight (8) guests.
