Martha's Vineyard Sightseeing Program - Day Trip from Boston
Discover the beautiful and quaint island of Martha’s Vineyard with a private guide where you will visit some of the villages and towns, each with their own charm and character! Aquinnah, Chilmark and West Tisbury are the three rural towns on the “Up-Island” while the “Down-Island” is comprised of the larger historic villages of Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. Aquinnah is best known as the home of the colorful Gay Head Cliffs and the historic Gay Head Lighthouse. Chilmark, known for its rolling hills and stone walls, nature preserves and dramatic coastlines, is also filled with quaint shops and tasty seafoods. You’ll see the elegant homes of the whaling captains and picturesque churches in Edgartown and the amazing gingerbread cottages in Oak Bluffs. Vineyard Haven, a year-round seaport and the island’s main point of entry, is also home to a lively Main Street Shopping district.

The starting time and date of the tour are customizable to fit your schedule, however, a 6:30am departure is recommended since this is a full 11-to-12-hour day.

The starting location of the tour is customizable to fit your schedule. The tour can start at your hotel doorstep, at a restaurant where you just finished breakfast or custom location of your liking. Pick-up or drop-off outside of Boston proper may incur additional costs.

- You will be picked up at your Boston hotel in a luxury SUV and will be transferred to the Hyannis Cruise Terminal where you will board the express ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Upon arrival in Martha’s Vineyard, your vehicle & guide/driver will greet you at the Ferry Terminal to explore the island for a 4-hour private tour.
- You will visit Vineyard Haven, Chilmark and West Tisbury, Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and more with a stop for lunch (lunch not included).
- After the tour, you will likely have an hour or so of free time for shopping and exploring, before boarding the ferry back to Hyannis Cruise Terminal.
- Your private SUV and driver will be awaiting your arrival in Hyannis to transfer you back to Boston with an approximate arrival time in Boston at 6:30pm.
- All stops, timing and inclusions of the tour are dependent upon traffic and weather conditions.
