Beyond the Scenes of the Revolutionary War

Sightseeing and Attractions: (Duration: 4 hours)

Maybe the battles of the Revolutionary War did not take place in Philadelphia, but before the first shot was even fired the seeds of the American Revolution against the British were being sowed. Within the borders of the city are the still standing historic buildings that form the history of how this nation began, including where Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence, and the first meeting house of the first meeting of the Continental Congress in 1774.

After your walking tour through the historic district, your guide will tie it all together with a visit to the new Museum of the American Revolution which includes the story on how the colonists became revolutionaries against the most powerful nation on earth at the time.
