Across the River: Arlington Cemetery & Old Alexandria

Sightseeing and Attractions: (Duration: 4 hours)

Washington DC may serve as the nation’s capital, but the reach of American heritage and government extends beyond the city limits. Your trip will take you to Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place for presidents and for more than 400,000 active duty service members, veterans and their families. On your walk, you will see the Tomb of the Unknown, the other notable residents. You will also see the Air Force Memorial and Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima).

On the Potomac River, within eyesight of Washington DC, Alexandria, VA, is nationally recognized for its rich history and beautifully preserved 18th and 19th century architecture. It is also an extraordinary backdrop for acclaimed, chef-driven restaurants, a thriving boutique scene, vibrant arts and culture and a welcoming, walkable lifestyle.
