Hudson Valley
Just a short trip “up river” from New York City is the majestic Hudson River Valley. A region rich in history and natural beauty, the Hudson River Valley was designated a National Heritage Area in 1996. Within its more than four million acres are over 1,000 sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Stretching 315 miles from New York City to the capital city of Albany, the Hudson River was discovered by Henry Hudson in 1609. Here you will find elaborate historic mansions and estates, as well as other historically significant sites dating back to the American Revolutionary War. Military tradition lives on in the Hudson River Valley at the West Point Military Academy, and the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor.
A taste of what your group will enjoy on a journey through the Hudson Valley:
►Lunch or dinner at one of five award-winning restaurants at the most prestigious culinary college in the world, the Culinary Institute of America, followed by a tour of campus.
